Japan Publicity has begun distributing the 2008 edition of the “Rafu Telephone Guide™” (1,118 pages with an audited circulation: 65,000 books) featuring a business directory of Southern California (Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, Palm Springs) & Las Vegas as well as hundreds of “Information Pages” dedicated to helping Japanese adjust to life in America. For the past 26 years, the Rafu Telephone Guide™ has provided reliable information to the Japanese Community of Southern California. This year’s book includes over 18,000 listings and 1,400 advertisements for companies and organizations that support the Japanese Community. In addition, this guide book covers tourist information, area guide maps, coupons, and lots of other useful “California Life” contents. New sections include “Machitan!” (which means “Town Search” in Japanese) and “Pet Area Guide.” Machitan! is a 33 page guide section with very detailed maps, so readers can easily find medical and health services as well as restaurants, schools, and automotive shops to fulfill their everyday needs. Also, The Pet Area Guide provides information for pet lovers like pet hotels, hospitals, and a wide variety of great pet supplies shops.
